Following a significant boost from Microsoft's 'summer of must have games' promotion, numbers pooled from Windows Phone Applist claim Windows Phone Marketplace has passed the 25,000 apps mark.
The latest stats from the site estimate that around 1,000 apps are being added to the store's portfolio every month, with the likes of Angry Birds, Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 and Plants vs. Zombies some of the most recent releases to go live.
App happy
A look at the growth of the marketplace suggests the number of apps on board did indeed head skywards from the end of May onwards.
Games also remain the most popular category amongst the 25,000 releases, making up 17 percent of the marketplace around 4,250 games in total.
