Given it sourced a $20 million strong investment round to fund its move into mobile, it's little wonder social studio Funzio is celebrating 1 million Crime City downloads on iOS in its first five days.
As a result, the game which originally began life on Facebook, but has more recently rolled out on rival Google+ - also managed to slip into the App Store's top 10 grossing list, having previously topped the free apps chart in the process.
Funzio's five days
"The reception for Crime City has been phenomenal," said CEO Ken Chiu.
"Within only five days of launch, the iOS version has had more than one million downloads. Looking ahead, we're focused on growing our network of high quality games across Facebook, Google+ and mobile."
Funzio closed said funding round back in May, with IDG Capital Partners in China and IDG Ventures in the US serving up the bulk of the $20 million.
As well as mark its presence on mobile, the cash has also been used to expand Funzio's workforce, with the firm's 50th employee joining the company in June.
Funzio expects to have 100 on staff before the end of 2011.
