Preparing itself for future growth, Hamburg-based developer Fishlabs has opened an in-house quality assurance department.
The main reason is to relieve its core development teams from QA duties, allowing them to concentrate on content updates for existing games.
Paul Guillaumon will be head of QA, while Thomas Bark will join the company as lead tester.
Guillaumon has worked in the games industry for 14 years, previously at dtp entertainment, Ascaron Entertainment and HandyGames.
Made in Germany
"Among others, Fishlabs' nomination as Best Studio at the German Game Developer Awards 2011 has clearly shown that mobile games have finally closed the gap on PC and console games," said Michael Schade, Fishlabs' CEO.
"This recent trend does not only pose new challenges to our developers time and again, but also increases the need for well-structured QA procedures manifold.
"Hence we are extremely happy to have Paul and Thomas on board. Both of them are skilled and experienced QA specialists who will aid us a lot in the creation of exciting and enthralling cross-platform titles."
