Onebip launches payment solution for browser-based games
Mobile payment specialist Onebip has launched its new payment platform for games designed for smartphone browsers.

The new system – dubbed Onebip Mobile Browser – allows users to purchase from web apps on virtually any mobile devices using a "quick and easy" process that flows straight from the title in question to Onebip's platform.

The pay off

The solution can be employed to cover everything from virtual currency to standard in-app purchases, with the amount charged to their mobile phone bill so customers without a credit card aren't locked out.

"With Onebip Mobile Browser, we have opened up mobile commerce to millions of consumers that until now have been the losers in the incredible rise of mobile content and services," said mobile payments executive director Massimiliano Silenzi.

"Plus, digital merchants, developers, and online service providers of all sizes have gained a powerful tool to help them monetise their content and services on any mobile device."

Onebip claims the payment tool can be used in a total of 70 countries so far, spanning browsers on iOS, Android, Windows Phone and BlackBerry.
