Following the announcement of Agawi's cloud-based partnership with Microsoft, the streaming specialist is now seeking 'social mid-core' and browser-based MMO developers to partner with for the launch of Windows 8.
Agawi's Windows 8 app is due to go livewhen the OS launches on 26 October, and the company is hunting for developer partners to feature on its front page once Windows 8 hits the market.
To this end, it has launched the Agawi Game Partner Gold Program for Windows 8, which will see the company partner with a 'select few' developers, placing their games front and centre in the Agawi app.
You're indestructible
Agawi's alliance with Microsoft will see the cloud gaming company making use of Windows Azure to enable developers to launch titles on Microsoft's PC and tablet OS without having to endure any porting headaches.
The firm notes that the launch of Windows 8 is an opportunity for developers to gain access to a less crowded marketplace with a large userbase, and a chance for developers to enter the tablet gaming market.
"After teaming up with Microsoft and leveraging Windows Azure for cloud gaming, we're excited to bring developers to the Windows 8 platform with the AGP Gold program," explained Agawi co-founder Peter Relan.
"It's a great opportunity for web-based mid-core and MMO game developers to make the leap over to mobile and tablet-based gaming."
