July's annual Develop and Evolve events in Brighton are shaping up to be chock full of content for developers of all sizes.
On the Evolve side - Develop's future focused day, running on 9 July - the day kicks off with a keynote courtesy of Microsoft Lift London's Lee Schuneman entitled London Calling: 'Beyond the Box' in Connected Entertainment.
Next up
Following shortly thereafter is a talk by PocketGamer.biz editor-at-large Jon Jordan focusing on a data-driven approach to ranking F2P monetisation efficiencies.
Also on the agenda is a topical session by PlayJam's Sameer Baroova on Building Successful Games for Android TV Consoles.
Our very own Jon Jordan will take to the stage
Other sessions in Evolve will focus on expanding into specific markets like Korea, China, and Brazil. Full details on Evolve's roster can be found here.
Looking to Develop
Similar to Evolve, Develop's programme is also largely finalised.
Key picks include a talk by Boss Alien's Jason Avent called The Future of Freemium on Mobile, as well a development panel on Making a Monster by Rodeo Games' Laurent Maguire and Ben Murch.
Thursday kicks off with an indie keynote by Fireproof's Barry Meade called The Room with a View. Following is an 11:15 panel on What Makes a Game British - referencing the forthcoming Games Tax Relief in the UK - which features indie developer Mike Bithell of Thomas was Alone fame among others.
Bithell will also give a solo talk later in the afternoon entitled The Dumb Hobby Project: Lessons Learned Making Thomas was Alone, which chronicles the development of his indie hit.
Following Bithell's talk is a brilliant-sounding session How To Win at Kickstarter (or Fail Gloriously Trying) run by Xiotex's Byron Atkinson-Jones and I Fight Bears' Nicoll Hunt.
