Apple and Samsung have been locked in a bitter legal struggle for what seems like forever.
However, the mobile heavyweights have now formed an unlikely truce by halting all patent battles outside of the US.
In a join statement made by the companies, it was revealed that both firms have agreed to drop all non-US litigation, including ongoing disputes in the UK and eight other regions.
The juggernauts first clashed in 2011, when Apple drew first blood by moving to sue Samsung over an alleged patent infringement present in its Galaxy range of mobile devices.
Peace in our time
Samsung responded in kind, alleging that Apple had infringed on its photo synchronisation and media sharing technology.
Even though all US battles will continue to be fought, the move is significant as it proves that both companies are actively seeking a resolution.
And, with both firms recently dropping court cases in June, it seems that a lasting peace might be on the horizon.
