Disney merging internet and games divisions

Could Club Penguin mobile spin-offs be the result?

Disney merging internet and games divisions
Disney has announced plans to merge its Walt Disney Internet Group (WDIG) and Disney Interactive Studios (DIS) divisions, bringing together its websites, virtual worlds and game publishing (including mobile).

The new unit will be called Disney Interactive Media Group (DIMG), and will be headed by WDIG president Steve Wadsworth.

According to an internal memo from Disney CEO Bob Iger, the aim is to take advantage of "the convergence of connected console, internet and mobile-based games".

It's too early to say what the impact will be on Disney's mobile gaming activities, although there are surely a potentially interesting crossover between the virtual worlds and mobile games divisions.
Club Penguin mini-games anyone?
