Focusing on online, audio and writing this year

Show Focus: Austin Game Developers Conference
The Austin Game Developers Conference doesn't have a dedicated mobile track, but it may still be relevant to people working in the mobile games industry.

This year's event is due to take place in Austin, Texas next month, from 15-17 September.

It'll have three streams, with one focusing on online games and social networking, another on game audio, and another on writing for games and interactive storytelling.

There'll be an accompanying Expo, which attracted more than 2,700 attendees last year.

Prices start at $75 for a pure Expo pass, and rise to $895 for an All-Access pass, which gets you into everything, including the spin-off Worlds In Motion summit and Independent Games Festival pavilion.
