mDisney signs US distribution deal with Com2uS

Hang on... mDisney?

mDisney signs US distribution deal with Com2uS
Disney has announced a distribution deal with Korean mobile games publisher Com2uS, which will see its mDisney division publishing the latter's titles in the US.

We think mDisney may be a new name for Disney's mobile content division - although whether this replaces or complements the Disney Mobile Studios brand that's been in evidence in Europe is still unclear.

It seems the deal will include Com2uS developing mobile games based on Disney's brands. The first title to be released under the deal is Disney Puzzle Family, for example, a collection of mini-games with online leaderboards.

"Com2uS is one of the top mobile game publishers globally, and they have demonstrated clear industry leadership both in terms of content and forward-thinking business models such as micro-billing," says Larry Shapiro, executive vice president and managing director at mDisney.

"This is a great opportunity for us to combine the Disney brand with their innovative gameplay to bring a unique mobile game experience to a broad US audience."
