South African casual games firm SkillPod Media says it plans to launch a suite of Flash Lite mobile games.
In an article posted by the company on the Bizcommunity website, it says "With mobile marketing another red-hot marketing arena, advertisers will be given the ability to brand these games".
Until now, SkillPod has focused on online casual games, with its GameZBoost platform used by several web portals in South Africa to deliver its games offerings.
Although Flash Lite suits casual games as a technology, the challenge for SkillPod will be educating consumers that they have Flash Lite capable handsets, and how to get the games.
The company has also signalled plans to expand internationally by supplying its games to Polish social networking site Gadu Gadu, and signing a seperate deal to launch in Russia.
