Every week, Pocket Gamer sister site iPad Quality Index (iPad Qi) highlights the newest games to make a critical splash in the cool, seductive waters of the iPad pool.
Grabbing scores and opinions from all corners of the web, including from 148Apps, AppGamer, and Gamezebo, Qi answers all your iPad-related questions before you've even asked them.
Today, we're going to focus on two new contenders vying to be crowned king of your iPad. Both are worthy, but do they have what it takes to win your head, your heart, and your wallet?

Exploring the mystical realm of this week's iPad Qi Top 10 is colourful RPG / platformer Swordigo.
Any Zelda fan worth his salt will be able to identify at least one of the inspirations behind this handsome 2.5D fantasy adventure.
Regardless of its roots, however, Touch Foo's genre mash-up of platform antics and RPG-style levelling-up seems to have touched a nerve with iPad critics everywhere.
Bursting with magic, monsters, and, of course, sharpened metal, Swordigo may be just the thing to scratch that questing itch while you're out and about.
Top down, shoot-'em-up
Emerging from the fog of war with machine gun in hand, meanwhile, is turn-based shooter sequel Hunters 2.
Following in its predecessor's thoughtful strategy and sci-fi violence footsteps, this top-down bug hunt has blasted its way to Qi chart success within days of its release.
While retaining the basic formula of Hunters: Episode One in this high-flying sequel - including those time-sensitive daily missions - Rodeo Games has set out to improve upon every element of the original.
To that end, the developer has refined the combat mechanics; added new weapons, armour, and enemies; and created a bunch of new environments to stick them all in.
148Apps's reviewer was blown away by the mercenary marvel that is Hunters 2, declaring it "a must-have for strategy fans".
Now, if you'll excuse me, I believe it's time to lock and load.
You can get the up-to-date information about which games are reviewing best over at the iPad Quality Index.
