More than half of mobile developers use Unity
Self-selecting surveys don't provide the most reliable results. Nevertheless, Game Developer Magazine's most recent survey has thrown up an interesting fact - apparently 53 percent of mobile developers use Unity.
Cocos2D was ranked second with 17.7 percent, although 40 percent of studio use their own engine.
As for platforms, 94.6 percent of developers make games for Apple and 70.7 percent for Android.

Rumours suggest Zynga will announce Unreal-powered 'mid-core' games
One to file under 'RumourVille', but it seems that Zynga has licensed the Unreal engine for future titles.
What's more certain is that the company will announced a new slate of games after E3. These will includes example of so-called mid-core games - an attempt to attract younger-more male players.
Put the two rumours together, however, and you could have something very interesting...

Apple ups App Store discoverability with Editor's Choice promo
It's assumed Apple will reveal a major shake up of iTunes and the App Store at WWDC. But that doesn't mean it's not tinkering around with its storefront now.
The most recent tweak is the Editor's Choice featured promotion on iTunes, while it's also extending its reach more widely with a Twitter promoted 'App of the Week' initiative.

Opinion: E3's blockbusters to be put in the shade by mobile marvels
This week is E3 (please make it stop already). But despite mobile and tablets being one of the fastest growing and profitable sectors, you won't see many such titles lining up alongside the triple-A console blockbusters.
It's something Steel Media EIC Kristan Reed isn't happy about, arguing that the big companies need to embrace its creativity.
"Almost every contact I got in touch with over the past few days said they had 'no handheld or mobile games at all this year, I'm afraid'." Reed wrote.
"It's spectacularly short-sighted."

Strong Lumia sales could stabilise Nokia before end of 2012
What's next for Nokia?
It's had plenty of bad news in 2012, but credit-rating agency Standard & Poor's is a bit more positive.
It says Lumia sales should stabilise the company's revenues towards the end of 2012, although it also points out that Nokia's cash position remains weak should losses continue.
