Manchesters Connect2Media is to become the exclusive international distribution partner for US-based developer and publisher Oasys Mobile, handling the latters games globally outside North America.
Connect2Media has an excellent track record in distributing high profile titles to a global audience, said Doug Dyer, CEO at Oasys Mobile. We are constantly exploring ways to generate additional value from our catalogue and so it was only natural to expand into other territories.
Meanwhile Eric Hobson, CEO of Connect2Media, claimed that Oasys Mobile held some of the crown jewels of gaming history, including a host of classic titles with proven longevity.
Connect2Media, which in September 2008 acquired RayFusion, the Israeli-based global distributor of mobile content, says the Oasys agreement is just one of several ongoing strategic deals its making.
These are relatively happy times for Oasys Mobile, too - back in October 2007 the company emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
