Glu Mobile has announced that it's extended its licensing partnership with Activision to include five upcoming titles.
It hasn't named them, but does say they'll be published for Android, BlackBerry, BREW, J2ME and Windows Mobile. That means Activision is hanging onto the iPhone rights - for now at least.
Glu most recently worked on the mobile versions of Call of Duty: World at War.
"We know they are the right partner to help us bring quality and innovative game play to the mobile platform," says Dave Anderson, Activision's head of business development.
"We are excited to work with them once again to bring several of our biggest holiday 2009 titles to mobile consumers around the world."
It's a sign of the way licensing deals are increasingly going on mobile, with publishers holding back the iPhone rights for their own usage - something Glu's Greg Ballard talked about in a recent analyst conference call.
Activision hasn't released any iPhone games itself, yet, but the fact that its holiday 2009 titles haven't been included in the new Glu deal makes us think this may change by the end of the year.
