With Apple pulling out of the MacWorld show next year, gadget show CES has spied an opportunity, and has already announced plans for its CES iLounge Pavilion to showcase Apple-related tech.
However, it's just been revealed that the pavilion will now be 25,000 square feet in size - more than six times its original size - thanks to demand from potential exhibitors.
A key reason appears to be demand from games and application developers, who'll have their own dedicated area within the pavilion. Originally, it was more of an accessories and Mac software thing, we gather.
All of this is good news, particularly if (like us) you're angling to spend a week in Las Vegas next January. There'll even be mini-booths for smaller developers, to ensure they're not priced out of the exhibiting action.
"The past year has been truly amazing for Apple fans, says Jeremy Horwitz, editor-in-chief of sponsor iLounge. "The 2010 International CES offers a unique opportunity for leading third-party vendors to show off their latest and greatest iPod, iPhone, and Mac products on a truly world-class stage."
Companies interested in exhibiting are being invited to contact Tira Gordon at CES via the email address tgordon@ce.org.
