One source games service

Selatra to manage O2 Ireland’s mobile game operations
Why do it yourself when you can pay an expert to do it for you?

That’s the basis of outsourcing and that’s the thinking behind Telefonica O2 Ireland’s decision to appoint Irish mobile games service provider Selatra to run its mobile games operations.

This includes the supply of games, download technology and deck administration duties.

“It’s a natural fit for both companies,” says Fergal O’Callaghan, Selatra’s CEO.“Our operation is designed to let our partners concentrate on their core business and have one source for all elements of a games service. This means reducing the workload for operators, and engaging with high quality developers to create a premium retail environment.

“We have enabled this solution with several clients in three different countries this year. Each new launch means coordinating the commercial, licensing and technology elements, so that all parties cooperate and give end-users what they want. This is what we do.”

“Due to their comprehensively managed games solution Selatra is the obvious choice for our requirements” said Karl Aherne, category Managem, Digital & Entertainment, Telefonica O2 Ireland. “We have chosen a true games specialist that will enable us to give our customers a great gaming experience”.
