As promised, alongside the launch of the redesigned PSPgo hardware, Sony has launched the Minis category on its online PlayStation Store.
Akin to an App Store for PSP, Minis offers much cheaper and simpler games - they don't include multiplayer or download options for example - than have been previously available for PSP.
Indeed, many of the launch titles are ports of iPhone games, such as Fieldrunners, Bloons, and Hero of Sparta.
There are plenty of original games from indie developers too such as Vempire and Alien Havoc.
Prices range from £2.49 to £3.99
What's significant is how small developers will choose to approach the Minis store, which with 50 games already announced, may soon become crowded. Thirteen games are available at launch in Europe.
For example, mobile publisher Hands-On has been quick to get in on the action. It's listed as the publisher of two games - Bloons and Brainpipe.
Aside from EA and Gameloft however, all the other games are self-published by their developers.
