There's plenty of job movement going on at US social mobile gaming network OpenFeint.
Together with parent company GREE, in the past weeks, it's gained a director of developer relations, a senior vice president of business development and a senior vice president of product, while losing a co-founder and CEO, a senior director of developer relations, a senior director of marketing (both to HTML5 start up FunSockets), and now with Scott Prather's leaving, a director of strategic relationships too.
Industry veteran Prather has joined mobile social gaming network PlayPhone as its new senior director of business relations, with the specific aim of expanding the reach of its social gaming network, by overseeing its developer community and maintaining and expanding wireless carrier relationships - his particular area of expertise.
Prather has previously held senior positions with I-play, T-Mobile USA and The Walt Disney Company.
Mobile icing + HTML5 cake
"We are pleased to have Scott come on board, as his base of experience supporting carriers and the development community from both an in-house standpoint, as well as an external partner is extremely valuable to PlayPhone," said Anders Evju, senior vice president and general manager at PlayPhone.
"PlayPhone has pivoted into a forward-looking cross-platform social gaming network that has quite a bit of momentum on its side," Prather added.
"Helping developers monetise on existing platforms such as iOS and Android, as well as upcoming technologies like HTML5 is fantastic, but having all of these platforms play nicely together is the icing on the cake."
