A mere titbit from the volume of yesterdays' news, nevertheless, it seems that Epic has unofficially updated the lifetime sales figures for iOS hit Infinity Blade.
As part of an interview with Geremy Mustard, technical director and co-founder of developer Chair Entertainment, IGN highlighted the game has now generated over $20 million worth of business, with paid downloads of 5 million.
Doubling up
This is a big increase on the $11.2 million of net revenue previously announced in June.
Epic has never officially provided download figures for the game, which was released in December 2010 for $5.99, but has since been on sale for various periods, priced $2.99, including 11 days during August.
"We can officially confirm millions of players and more than $20 million [sales]," said the studio's Laura Mustard when asked for official clarification.
Price drops aside, it's hard to calculate the download total from revenue as Infinity Blade also supports in-app purchases, which previously have been revealed as generating over 40 percent of overall revenue.
Significantly, Epic also said the game is as profitable per man month of development as its Gears of War console series.
