With the news Capcom expects its mobile division to generate around $80 million in sales this year, it's also been revealed the company has been restructuring to enable such growth to continue.
The key example is Beeline Interactive.
Effectively a rebranding of Capcom Mobile's international operations - mainly in US, Canada and the UK - it originally reported to Capcom's US division.
Direct comms
However, now it's reporting direct to Japan in a move Capcom says will "further increase the speed of decision-making", enabling Beeline to continue its growth.
It also expects to strengthen the Beeline brand, increasing its headcount, releasing more titles across iOS and Android, and acquiring more licences.
To-date, its key release has been the Canadian developed Smurfs' Village, with Snoopy's Street Fair, which was developed by its London office, about to be released globally during November.
Big in Japan
Capcom will also be reinforcing its mobile operations in Japan, with what it labels a 'new social games development team in the mobile content business'.
Its output will be released onto the GREE and Mobage social networks, where Capcom has already experienced success with over one million downloads of Resident Evil Outbreak Survive.
At present, mobile developers only account for around 100 people in a total development staff of around 1,400.
