Tribal City's Flip the Switch wins best casual game award at Irish Games Fleadh
Games conferences and awards continue to spring up around the world.

And so it was that the past week saw the first national awards as part of Ireland's largest digital games programming festival, Games Fleadh.

As you'd expect, all the games had to have an Irish connection, with Irish-US iOS game Flip the Switch beating out the opposition to gain the Best Casual Game prize.

All lucky

“We are delighted to win this award," said Alan Duggan, CEO of publisher Tribal City. "We really love all the other games in the category, so to be chosen as best casual game against such strong competition is fantastic recognition.”

"We're poured our hearts into the game's design and its unique mechanics," added Stan Liu, president of developer Mad Toro Studios.

"We tuned the gameplay based on the invaluable feedback of our players. Winning the Best Casual Game award tells us that we are on the right track."

The Best Mobile Game award was won by PufferFish Games with PowerGrid, while PopCap sneaked onto the list winning the Best Windows Phone 7 Games with Plants vs. Zombies
