Just as it surprised attendees to the Tokyo Game Show in 2011, so with E3 in 2012.
Japanese social gaming platform GREE is making good its promise to be the 'Nintendo of social mobile games' by booking a large booth at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles in early June.
As you can see from the floor plan below, the company is in the main South Hall, alongside Konami and Take-Two.
Step 1
The move comes as GREE ramps up its consumer marketing for the launch of its new global platform.
This is launching any time now, with the company expecting to have it live in 153 countries and supporting 14 languages by September.
GREE also expects that between 50 to 60 games will be launched between July and September, including Gameloft's Gang Domination and a social mobile version of Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed.
No doubt, both will be on display on GREE's booth, while it will conform to another E3 tradition with a big industry party on the first night of the show.
