It says that during the 45 days of beta, 5,000 developers uploaded 4,500 apps to the pre-release app distribution and testing service.
These have been downloaded more than 50,000 times.
The result of the service going live is all developers using Testflight can now upload Android apps.
As with the original iOS service, you can handle all your beta app management, distribution, tracking, and feedback in a centralised dashboard.
Additional features, such as crash reporting, will be coming shortly with the release of the Android SDK. This will be rolled out in a closed beta, starting next week.
