US iPhone publisher Ngmoco plans to target bargain-hunting iPhone gamers with a range of sub-$1 'Fast Apps' in the coming months.
The publisher has just unveiled its first three iPhone games, two of which - MazeFinger (pictured) and Topple - fall into the Fast Apps category.
Ngmoco maintains that lower prices don't mean lower quality, but its plans will contribute to the downward pressure on prices in the App Store.
That said, releasing more games for lower prices does increase the chances of having a hit, rather than loading all the firm's eggs into one premium-price game basket. Or something.
However, Ngmoco will be releasing premium iPhone games too, and has inked a deal with UK studio Hand Circus for its innovative-looking Rolando action game.
Other developers working with the publisher include Super Monkey Ball firm Other Ocean, and Stumptown Gamemachine.
