Every week, Pocket Gamer sister site Quality Index (Qi) highlights the newest games to make a critical splash in the cool, seductive waters of the iOS pool.
Grabbing scores and opinions from all corners of the web, including from 148Apps, AppGamer, and No DPad, Qi answers all your iPhone-related questions before you've even asked them.
Today, we're going to focus on two new contenders vying to be crowned king of your iPhone. Both are worthy, but do they have what it takes to win your head, your heart, and your wallet?
Did you hear something?
Creeping past the competition and into the Qi top spot this week is the rhythmically infused stealth-puzzler Beat Sneak Bandit.
Collecting clocks is the name of the game here, a task that must be accomplished by moving your blonde-haired bandit in time to the beat of the music.
If fact, everything from the enemies to the environment pulsates along to the soundtrack, making dodging guards and avoiding trapdoors a testing exercise in precision timing.
Beat Sneak Bandit has already wormed its way into critics' hearts, with AppSpy declaring it "a must have for all iPhone gamers".
Axis of awesome
Double-jumping straight into fifth place, meanwhile, in this week's Qi chart comes premier platforming sequel League of Evil 2.
This time around, Ravenous Games has abandoned the original's pixel-art aesthetic in favour of a softer-edged cartoon look.
While the retro platformer's visuals may be different, many of its features will be instantly recognisable to fans of League of Evil: hundreds of levels, loads of baddies, and some of the tightest controls of any game on iPhone.
Slide To Play believes League of Evil 2 is a worthy addition to the series, saying the game "absolutely lives up to its predecessor".
You can get the up-to-date information about which games are reviewing best over at the Quality Index.
