Wednesday night was a big one for the mobile games industry at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Not only were the IMG Awards held at the show (hosted by our very own Chris James), but the evening saw a cracking party hosted by PocketGamer.biz:
There was a suitably varied crew in attendance with every area of the business represented - from operators, aggregators and handset manufacturers through to publishers, developers and of course the press.
Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves from what we can recall, with much networking amidst the general revelry (you can see more photos from the event here and here).
We wanted to say thanks to everyone who came along and a special thanks to our sponsors, Mpowerplayer, who helped make the event such a success. You can find out more about their mobile games discovery services here and expect to hear a lot more of them and their "YouTube for games" philosophy in the near future.
This party came hot on the heels of a similarly successful Pocket Gamer France launch event in Paris in association with mobile gaming community Playtomo and we're already planning further networking events in the near future.
So if you´d like to present your company and games to the cream of the mobile games business in a relaxed environment then get in touch with Chris James for more details of sponsorship opportunities.
Meanwhile, stay tuned to this site for more interviews and opinion from MWC. Now we're back at our desks (in body, if not quite yet in spirit), we're digesting what we saw and heard during the week.
