Enjoying a stable base on both iPhone and mobile, UK based Connect2Media has announced its set to begin an assault on DS, starting with acclaimed puzzler Go! Go! Island Rescue.
The publisher claims the new version, which has been designed from the ground up to take advantage of the handheld's dual screens, will launch on DSiWare later in October.
Island hopping
"Moving successful mobile games such as Go! Go! Island Rescue onto the Nintendo DS is a natural progression of Connect2Media as a whole," said marketing manager Stephen Hey.
"The gameplay is made for devices such as the Nintendo DS and we felt it was time for Connect2Media to branch off into new areas such as this new relationship with Nintendo."
Connect2Media has embarked on several forms of expansion throughout 2010, the purchase of US based platform holder Sennari back in March helping to cement its operations on the other side of Atlantic.
That was followed in September by a new round of investment the company claimed would be used to further the exploits of Sennari's prize-incentivised platform PrizePlay in the coming months.
