Zynga lures away Disney veep Adam Sussman for mobile gaming role
As well as expanding its business through acquisitions left, right and centre – a total of 15 separate businesses purchased since June 2010 – social games specialist Zynga is also on a recruitment drive.

The studio has hired Adam Sussman away from Disney Interactive Media Group, reportedly setting the former senior VP of publishing to work under current chief mobile officer David Ko.

Sussing out Zynga

The move – unearthed by paidContent.org but since confirmed by Disney itself – comes eight months after Sussman joined the publisher to head up its games division.

Prior to that, he had worked at EA Mobile as VP of global publishing for almost four years, where he is credited for generating more than $200 million in revenue for the firm – up 42 percent across a two year period.

It's expected (though not yet confirmed) his talents will again be streamlined to focus on the mobile business at Zynga, which is fast expanding its position within the industry ahead of an expected $1 billion strong IPO.

Sussman's superior Ko was himself lured from Yahoo! last October, having previously worked as the company's senior VP of audience, mobile and local for over a decade. Back in April, Zynga also hired former EA COO John Schappert to take up the same position at the studio.
