Moshi Monsters outfit Mind Candy is searching for both a new mobile developer and designer as the firm looks to expand its "fast growing mobile team."
Listing said positions on PocketGamer.biz's job board, the new jobs will see the successful applicant work on mobile releases for existing Mind Candy franchises, as well as "coming up with and creating brand new IP."
Mobile matters
In regards to the developer position, responsibilities will include implementing game features and UI, contributing and promoting ideas for new and existing products, and running with game ideas to bring them to life, amongst other tasks.
Mind Candy is looking to applicants to have a fundamental understanding of core programming concepts, as well as familiarity with Objective-C and C++.
A strong understanding of touch-based input paradigms is also essential, as well as knowledge of current mobile trends and an understanding of Mind Candy's values.
As for the designer, Mind Candy is looking for someone wirth the ability to both replicate and evolve the Moshi art style, as well as more technical knowledge on using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and traditional Design.Meeting of minds
The news comes as Mind Candy gears to release its first two Moshi Monsters titles on GREE's social gaming network, with the Japanese giant describing its partnership with the UK outfit as an example of its "commitment to delivering great family friendly content direct to the consumer."
"Moshi Monsters is a hugely popular and successful global brand," said GREE's UK studio head Tsuyoshi Tanaka.
"We are very honoured to be working with the team at Mind Candy to release these titles from the Moshi Monsters stable."
