ChinaJoy 2012 announces enhanced B2B area to attract over 15,000 industry professionals
This year's ChinaJoy – which is celebrating its 10th anniversary and has grown rapidly to become one of Asia's largest gaming expos - aims to be the largest yet when it opens its doors on July 26-28 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.

Reflecting those ambitious plans is a just-announced expanded B2B area which hopes to build on last year's effort.

What's another year

In 2011, the equivalent section attracted 153 companies from 15 countries, and more than 10,000 industry figures.

For 2012 the floorspace has been increased to over 10,000 sq m (from 8,000 sq m) and the area aims to host more than 15,000 international professionals representing all sectors of the gaming industry - including, increasingly, mobile.

To assist productivity, the organisers are introducing the "Online Business Matching System", a direct communication platform to help trade visitors to exhibit their products, services, or register interest, as well as set up meetings.

With three boys under the age of 12, former Edge editor Joao has given up his dream of making it to F1 and instead spends his weekends transforming his living room floor into a venue for hosting increasingly complex Scalextric tracks. When in work mode, he looks after the production (aka the behind-the-scenes magic) of Steel Media's series of conferences.
