Having added to its audience thanks to a deal with China Telecom, Liverpool-based publisher Thumbstar has unveiled plans to perform the same trick in South America.
The firm has signed a deal with service provider NII Holding known on a consumer level as Nextel in order to push games out to consumers across Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Chile and Mexico.
Nextel steps
The exact details on the deal haven't been disclosed, but Thumbstar estimates a total of 300 million new customers are up for grabs thanks to its move on the South American market.
"We're really excited to be working with Nextel," said director of business development for the Americas, Tom Viswat, of the deal.
"Their footprint, growth path and high value customers are in perfect match with the increasing number of high value games that Thumbstar distributes and publishes across the region and the globe."
Back in June, Thumbstar CEO Gareth Edmondson revealed that the publisher currently operates on more than 140 channels across the globe.
