Facebook is desperately trying to work out its mobile strategy.
It might get there, it may not, but given its potential 1 billion user reach, there are plenty of companies hoping it will improve the app discoverability issue.

It's something that's been bought into focus as Facebook has announced the commercial launch of its mobile app install adverts for iOS and Android.
It claims the beta has seen the likes of Kabam, TinyCo and Big Fish driving free game downloads and player engagement.
Yet the default analytics aren't anything to write home about, which is why monetisation outfit Apsalar is looking to help out developers in this area.
It's now supporting Facebook-integrated campaigns via its free Campaign Source Insights marketing tool.
Single focus
This enables you to measure the performance of traffic - impressions, clicks, downloads etc - coming from any mobile advertising campaign, including Facebook mobile ads on iOS. Android will follow shortly.
Features include the proper tracking of acquisition source, customer spend and cohort analysis through a centralised dashboard.
Apsalar claims this is the only solution that is free and measures user revenue from each traffic source.
You can sign up for the tool via Apsalar's website.
