Japanese PC and mobile developer Aiming Inc. has signed a strategic partnership with Chinese outfit Chukong.
The deal has been worked through a rights offering in Aiming's wholly owned subsidiary, Aiming Korea.
This partnership - effectively a now joint venture - will result in its corporate rebranding from Aiming Korea to A-KONG.
Top target
The goal of the deal is for Aiming and Chukong, which includes companies such as games service provider CocoaChina and publisher Punchbox, to attack the fast-growing Korean market.
Their plan is for A-KONG to become South Korea's top publisher; an ambitious aim given the strength of companies such as Gamevil and Com2uS in that market.
