An eye on apps: Google Glass app store set to launch in 2014
Google's optimal head mounted display system – better known as Google Glass – is to be boosted by the launch of its own app store in 2014, though the firm is yet to pin down an exact launch date.

Speaking to the New York Times, the company explained that said app store will be unveiled next year, with Google already hard at work drawing up a set of guidelines for Google Glass applications.

At present, it's unclear as to whether or not apps designed for Google Glass will also be placed on the Google Play store, whilst pricing plans also remain a mystery.

App, App, and away!

It's expected that any apps that are approved will have to adhere to a stringent set of guidelines, in order to ensure that the device's revolutionary - and potentially invasive - capabilities aren't abused in any fashion.

Google Glass was made available to developers in February this year with a number of apps having already been produced, including Glass Genie, a Google Glass to-do list, and a cooking app that walks you through recipes.

Games are also expected to make their way to the sci-fi spectacles, with developer Sean McCracken already confirming that his game Psyclops, described as a '3D Space Invaders,' will be heading to the device.

What do you call someone who has an unhealthy obsession with video games and Sean Bean? That'd be a 'Chris Kerr'. Chris is one of those deluded souls who actually believes that one day Sean Bean will survive a movie. Poor guy.
