Indian firm Robosoft is aiming to win new porting and development business for the iPhone, diversifying from its traditional focus on Macs.
The company says it plans to showcase its iPhone skills at the upcoming Casual Connect conference in Seattle, with the aim of securing new business from casual games developers and publishers wanting an easy way to take their titles to iPhone.
"In our role as a full-service provider for Mac and iPhone, we encourage and assist casual game developers and publishers in developing innovative casual games for the Mac and iPhone, as well as porting the best-selling casual games from other platforms to the Mac and iPhone."
The company has previously ported games like The Movies, Tomb Raider Anniversary and Lego Star Wars II to the Mac from other platforms.
It'll be interesting to see how much new business there is on the iPhone side of things. On the one hand, it's got the potential to be a much bigger gaming market than the Mac, but on the other, a lot of casual games firms have chosen to register themselves as iPhone developers, rather than outsource.
