Having launched its AR SDK for Android smartphones in early October, Qualcomm has now opened submissions for developers entering its $200,000 Augmented Reality Developer Challenge.
Based on its Qualcomm Augmented Reality Platform, it provides developers with the ability to create high performance Android games, educational apps and marketing tools using vision-based AR technology.
Ticking time
The competition will remain open until January 7, 2011, with the winners publicly announced at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 14.
The first prize is $125,000, with the second placed developer getting $50,000 and the third placed $25,000.
