Following our report during Game Developers Conference in late February, Gameloft has confirmed support for Apple's iPhone. Well over a dozen titles are in the works for the device according to a statement issued by the company last Friday morning.
Among the first of these titles will be Bubble Bash (pictured). Alas, no details were offered regarding gameplay but a representative for the company did note that Bubble Bash is one of at least 15 games in development.
While not confirmed, additional titles beyond those initial 15 could hit iPhone in the period between the Apple game store opens in June and the end of 2008.
"The iPhone gaming environment opens a new era in mobile gaming and is exactly what we've been waiting for," revealed CEO Michel Guillemot.
Getting our hands on these games that's what we'll be waiting for.
