Get In The Game offers concept funding for the PlayStation Network
Now in its second year, the Get In The Game initiative is offering companies in the Northwest of England, the opportunity to access concept funding for a game project.

The chosen projects will also get the opportunity to pitch for a full production deal with Sony.

The process kicks off with a launch party, starting at 7pm and held at FACT, 88 Wood Street, Liverpool on Tuesday September 1st, 2009.

Following this, groups will be selected for a three day pitching and concept workshop.

This will culminate with five projects being chosen by Sony Europe, Northwest Vision & Media, and project organisers Pixel-Lab.

These will each receive a £10,000 grant from Northwest Vision & Media to develop their concept further, over three or four months.

At the end of this period, the companies will pitch their demos to Sony in the hope of gaining a full-production deal for the PlayStation Network (PS3 or PSP).

Places are limited. You can find out more information about getting tickets here.

And don't forget the Get In The Game website either.
