Ian Stewart returns to source with Gremlin Present label

First release is Bounder's World for iOS

Ian Stewart returns to source with Gremlin Present label
Proving everything eventually comes back into fashion, the spirit of 1980s and 1990s UK games publisher Gremlin Interactive is being resurrected by original founder Ian Stewart.

Famous for games such as Premier Manager, Actua Soccer and Monty Mole, the company was sold to Infogrames in 1999.

But Stewart's new outfit Urbanscan has regained some of the publisher's old IP, and will be publishing it under the Gremlin Presents label. It also hopes to come up with new games.

Bounce back

Its first title will be old-school Commodore 64 game Bounder's World, which will be released for iOS during the autumn.

Back in 1986, the original Bounder received 97 percent and a Gold Medal award from Zzap! 64 Magazine and 9/10 from Your Sinclair magazine.

"I'm delighted to reveal that the first release on our Gremlin Presents label is the new Bounder's World game," said Stewart.

"We've created an addictive, accessible and fun game that is a worthy sequel to the Commodore 64 original, taking full advantage of all the iOS features such as motion-control."
