Middleware tool becomes one-stop shop

Marmalade moves on monetisation as Tapjoy joins partnership programme
Building what it describes as a complete suite of services, middleware tool Marmalade has announced a partnership with Tapjoy designed to bring both platforms together.

Marmalade says its cross platform tool will incorporate the network directly, allowing developers to tap into Tapjoy's monetisation frameworks when utilising the Marmalade SDK.

All change

"This partnership further allows us to offer products that are both innovative and lucrative to our developer community," said EVP of product at Marmalade Tamir Strauss.

"Working with Tapjoy will bring exciting monetisation opportunities and we’re looking forward to working together to develop this crucial part of the market."

Marmalade recently undertook a complete rebranding exercise that coincided with the launch of its refreshed SDK.

Formally known as Airplay, version 5.0 of Marmalade allows studios to write apps in standard C++ before rolling them out across multiple platforms.

The addition of Tapjoy as a partner follows on from the unveilling of other major backers, including RIM, Nokia, Apple, ARM, Konami and EA Mobile.
