Furthering the cause of mobile gaming start-ups in the US and beyond, San Francisco-based incubator and business accelerator YetiZen will be at GDC 2012, hosting its second Game Pitch competition.
The contest will enable seven chosen finalists to present their game ideas to a panel of investors, CEOs and entrepreneurs.
The aim of the event is to help developers who are starting out raise the funds necessary to 'jumpstart' their projects.
Zen and the art...
The companies will pitch their ideas on stage to judges such as Michael Chang, director of corporate development at Electronic Arts, and Tim Chang, managing director at Mayfield Fund.
Pitches will be adjudged according to four areas; innovation, clarity of business model, businesses planned for an exit and potential for business success.
If you are interested in taking part in the competition, take note that you must be 'startup company in the mobile or social game space'.
Larger or publicly traded companies will not be allowed to participate. Also, previous entrants in YetiZen's accelerator program will not be allowed to enter.
Mark your calendars
The deadline for submission falls on 26 February 2012, at 5:00pm Pacific Time.
The competition itself will take place on 8 March at 2:00pm.
Winners will receive an invitation to participate in YetiZen's accelerator program in March, and will also be given a VIP ticket to the YetiZen GDC party among other prizes.
You can find out more from the YetiZen website.
