As promised, organisers behind Atari's Pong Indie Developer Challenge have revealed the 20 indie developers advancing past the first round.
The competition, which kicked off back in March, challenges iOS developers with reimagining Atari's 1972 arcade classic Pong.
Eyes on the prize
The 20 semi-finalists, which were picked from a total of 87 submissions, will now have to move their respective projects forward, delivering a playable build for 5 June.
"Based on time with the game builds, the judging panel will consult and select up to 10 finalists to receive three-year revenue-share publishing agreements and cash prizes based on their final ranking: first place will receive $50,000, second place will earn $37,500, third place will net $15,000, and up to seven additional runner-ups will take home $5,000 each," detail the organisers.
Finalists, which will then be announced on 19 June, will also be featured on Ataris Developer Spotlight - an online portal sporting information on the developers and their titles.
The final winner will be revealed to the world on 2 August.
