YoYo Games has sought to highlight GameMaker: Studio's HTML5 prowess by publishing seven of its biggest Android hits on Google's Chrome Web Store.
All of the titles were created using YoYo Games' cross-platform game development tool GameMaker: Studio, which allows studios to export Android games to HTML5 with "no additional porting or development resources required."
Easy-peasy
"The popularity of the Google Chrome Browser makes it a very appealing avenue for YoYo Games as we look to expand the reach and visibility for our diverse portfolio of high quality titles," said head of publishing Stuart Poole.
"Thanks to GameMaker: Studio, this is just the beginning for us we have many more games in the pipeline that can be published in HTML5."
With a starting price of $99, GameMaker: Studio enables developers to create games quickly, and when combined with additional format-specific modules it can create ready-to-run executables and apps for multiple platforms, including HTML5, Android, and iOS.
Games launched on the Chrome Web Store include Karoshi, Pollushot, Reflexions, Simply Minesweeper, Simply Solitaire, Simply Word Search, and Skydiver Mach II.
