Capcom's mobile efforts are going from strength to strength, with the company reporting a 142 percent jump in content sales during the course of Q1 2012.
As part of a highly successful quarter for the business overall, mobile content sales came in at ¥2.9 billion (around $37.1 million) according to Capcom's most recent report.
Big in JapanIt's the firm's hand in the Japanese mobile social market that's proving most fruitful.
Capcom claims four of its Japanese social releases on mobile have passed 4.9 million downloads, with the company's decision to back both GREE and rival DeNA seemingly a smart one Resident Evil: Outbreak on GREE and Minna to Monhan Card Master on Mobage both top performers.
The firm's Beeline brand, however, which was set up in April 2011 and expanded further little over half a year later, has seen cumulative downloads hit 65 million.
That's up 9 million during Q1 alone, with Smurf's Village still leading the line.
