Mattel's Apptivity range for iOS is nothing new, taking real toys and allowing players to control iPad apps with them when placed on the screen.
Licenses currently on board, however, have been limited to the firm's own products - Hot Wheels, Batman and WWE toys all compatible.
It now appears the toy giant is keen to expand Apptivity's reach, specifically targeting mobile gaming IPs.
Three in one
An Apptivity Central app initially launched on the US App Store but now seemingly removed is set to unite all aforementioned franchises into one central title, along with some key new additions.
Also on board are Cut the Rope, Fruit Ninja and Angry Birds Magic.
As detailed by Apps Playground, the app's description on iTunes made open reference to all three franchises, allowed users to "play them a whole different way."
There's been no announcement about just which toys will work with the app, as of yet. Indeed, the removal of the app itself suggests Mattel is holding for an official announcement at a later date.
