Fancy working in Espoo, or Tampere?

Rovio looking to flood its Finnish offices with fresh talent
Rovio has a total of more than 50 jobs open and up for grabs across its two main bases in Finland, with 14 having been opened up during the month of May alone.

The Finnish development powerhouse, which is behind the likes of Angry Birds, Bad Piggies and Amazing Alex, is looking to fill a number of positions both at its HQ in the Finnish city of Espoo - just west of the capital Helsinki – and Tampere, 180 kms north.

Positions to fill

Of the positions opened up in the last month, Rovio is on the hunt for – amongst other jobs – both a senior Android client developer and an Android client developer, as well as a senior interaction designer and a summer trainee position of a rich media programmer, all in Espoo.

"Rovio has been growing rapidly after the phenomenal success of Angry Birds and the growth will continue even faster in near future," details the firm on its job site.

"We want to make diamonds and are ready to invest time and effort for picking the raw ideas and polishing them into brilliant quality game concepts."

The firm recently announced the launch of a third-party publishing initiative - Rovio Stars - designed to "help the developers to give these games that last coat of polish, publish the games, and find their audience."

All of the positions above and many more can be viewed and applied for via Rovio's job site, with other jobs – in Stockholm, Shanghai and Tokyo – also up for grabs.
