Sony looks to revitalise PS Vita with Remote Play mandated for PS4 games
In this week's Maven's discussion, despite its innovation, the failure of Sony's Remote Play to gain developer support has hit PS Vita hard.

Well now, it seems like the company will be pushing much harder on this console-to-PS Vita service.

According to Eurogamer, Sony will be mandating Remote Play for all PlayStation 4 titles, except those using the PS4 Eye peripheral.

Beam me over

Remote Play is a streaming-type service which takes the game running on the main console (PlayStation 3 or 4) and beams it over wifi to your PS Vita.

Like with cloud-gaming service such as OnLive, your controller movements are then sent back to the console and the video stream updated.

The upside is that unlike with OnLive, you're running over local wifi, so issues such as bandwidth and latency should be much better.
