Have you heard about the Israel Mobile Summit? No? Well, let us fill you in.

The Israel Mobile Summit, which has now been running for 4 consecutive years, is Israel's premier annual mobile event and is regularly attended by over 1,000 of the mobile apps ecosystem's best and brightest minds.

Running on 10 June 2014, the summit features 3 different tracks: the Innovation Track featuring success stories from mobile entrepreneurs, VCs, and the annual startup contest, the Monetization Track discussing advertising, analytics, in-app purchases and virtual economies, and the Dev&UX Track in which top developers share secrets for creating a well designed app.

Speakers with substance

This year's keynote speaker is Julien Codorniou, Director of Platform Partnerships EMEA at Facebook, who will reveal how developers can build, grow and monetize their mobile apps with Facebook.

Facebook recently acquired Israeli startup Onavo, and nominated a new country manager for Israel. As part of their investment in the region, Facebook also chose to support the Summit as the leading mobile event in Israel.

Other speakers include Uri Levine, Co-Founder of Waze, Eric Seufert, Author of "Freemium Economics", Yuval Ben-Itzhak, CTO of AVG, Corrado Tomassoni, Global Head of Startups, Accelerators and VCs at PayPal and Wolfgang Petersen, Director of Developer Relations Division EMEA at Intel.

Israel Mobile Summit 2013

With three recent major exits - in the form of Waze, Viber, and Onavo - Israel is building up its reputation as a hot spot for mobile apps, and the Summit will try to find the next super apps by holding its annual Israeli mobile startup contest in which eight mobile startups will present in front of an expert jury.

Previous winners include iOnRoad, the augmented reality road safety app, and leading music education app JoyTunes.

The Summit is a part of Israel Mobile Week, during which multiple mobile events will take place in Israel including DroidCon Tel Aviv –  Europe's largest Android conference.
