Zynga has released its financials for the full year of its FY17 ending December 31st 2017.
The company posted revenues of $861.4 million, up 16% year-on-year. It also posted its first profitable year since 2010, with a net income of $26.6 million.
Mobile revenues for the fourth quarter of its FY17 came to $203.6 million, up 32% year-on-year. DAUs also climbed to 20 million during the quarter, up 24% year-on-year.
Everything's on the up
The launch of Words With Friends 2 was instrumental to Zynga's growth. The Words With Friends franchise saw mobile revenues grow 19% year-on-year following its launch, and had its best-performing quarter in its eight-year history.
CSR2 continued to go from strength to strength, with Q4 revenues growing 90% year-on-year. Zynga has expanded the game throughout 2017, most recently with a new AR mode to transform the game into a "petrolhead symbol app".
Zynga Poker also continues to do strong business and saw revenues grow 44% year-on-year in Q4. The company has expanded its card game offerings throughout 2017 with the purchase of Harpan's Solitaire games in March and Peak Games' card games in November.
